Business Development Manager

Overview: BirdieBox, a luxury gifting service, is currently seeking a highly passionate, proactive, and detail-forward thinker to join our team in the Chicagoland area as the Business  Development Manager. This position is responsible for working closely with the Business Intelligence Director to help shape, build and execute the processes needed to deliver highly qualified leads and appointments to the sales department.

Expectations: Based in the Chicagoland Area, this role will have multiple day-to-day duties and therefore requires a person that can easily multi-task. Heavy focus will be placed on outbound calls and appointment setting so calling experience is preferred but not required

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Qualify prospects through industry/market research
  • Meet weekly quantitative goal of 1,500 new qualified leads gathered and entered into Salesforce CRM
  • Meet weekly quantitative goal of 5 scheduled appointments per sales manager/director (currently 3 reps to support = 15 appts per week)
  • Clear direction will be provided on the industries, roles and markets to target
  • All lead generation, appointment setting and development to be input and tracked through Salesforce
  • Direct scheduling of meeting invitation with prospect and sales team calendars
  • Weekly reporting and strategy review

  • Salesforce or similar CRM tool
