Business Development Manager

Overview: BirdieBox, a luxury gifting service, is currently seeking a highly passionate, proactive, and detail-forward thinker to join our team in the Chicagoland area as the Business  Development Manager. This position is responsible for working closely with the Business Intelligence Director to help shape, build and execute the processes needed to deliver highly qualified leads and appointments to the sales department.

Expectations: Based in the Chicagoland Area, this role will have multiple day-to-day duties and therefore requires a person that can easily multi-task. Heavy focus will be placed on outbound calls and appointment setting so calling experience is preferred but not required

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Qualify prospects through industry/market research
  • Meet weekly quantitative goal of 1,500 new qualified leads gathered and entered into Salesforce CRM
  • Meet weekly quantitative goal of 5 scheduled appointments per sales manager/director (currently 3 reps to support = 15 appts per week)
  • Clear direction will be provided on the industries, roles and markets to target
  • All lead generation, appointment setting and development to be input and tracked through Salesforce
  • Direct scheduling of meeting invitation with prospect and sales team calendars
  • Weekly reporting and strategy review

      Account Manager

      BirdieBox is currently seeking a highly passionate, proactive, and detail-forward thinker to join our team as an Account Manager. The Account Manager is a full-time position and is responsible for working closely with the Director of Accounts and Strategy on account management for select clients and sales reps. This role has the opportunity to grow into new roles or positions within the company upon performance reviews.

      This role will have multiple day-to-day duties and therefore requires a person that can easily multi-task and handle large amounts of information coming in at once. Because we are a rapidly growing company, this role will encompass high expectations from your Director with evolving responsibilities. A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow are invaluable at our company.

      Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to; client communication, account management daily needs, working directly with our sales team to craft product mixes and aid retention efforts, communicating with merchandising and our warehouse to ensure orders are accurate and shipped in a timely manner, and special projects as needed. 

      Job Responsibilities

      • Ability to consistently execute daily tasks and hit weekly goals.
      • Weekly goals may include but are not limited to client communication of proofs within 48 hours of receiving, communicating changes from client to warehouse within 24 hours, etc. 
      • Communication for day-to-day account support with clientele. Must be a strong communicator with excellent writing skills.
      • Working in tandem with our sales team to recommend product mixes, manage customer relationships, and aid in upselling/retention efforts.
      • Daily management within Salesforce for CRM and order placements within our warehouse management system, Odoo.
      • Strong attention to detail for branding reviews with clients, accurate order entry, and communication with merchandising/warehouse through fulfillment.
      • Administrative support as required by your Director. This could include account management support or even on-site concierge support for VIP clientele, meetings, gift suites, etc.
      • Some travel may be required based for events such as client gift suites, conferences, tradeshows, etc.

      Requirements of the Role

      • Must be a self-starter with effective time management skills
      • Practice teamwork by helping other areas of the company if a need presents itself
      • 1-3 years experience in a customer service or sales executive role preferred
      • Proactive, autonomous and self-motivated with a sense of urgency and dedication to accuracy
      • Strong communication and decision-making skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change

      Digital Project Assistant

      Overview

      BirdieBox is currently seeking a highly passionate, proactive, and detail-forward thinker to join our team as the Digital Project Assistant. The Digital Project Assistant is a part-time position and is responsible for working closely with the Digital Project Manager and Director of Accounts & Strategy on all things related to client websites, internal websites, and special projects as needed. This role has the opportunity to grow into new roles or positions within the company upon performance reviews.

      This role will have multiple day-to-day duties and therefore requires a person that can easily multi-task and handle large amounts of information coming in at once. Because we are a rapidly growing company, this role will encompass high expectations with evolving responsibilities. A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow are invaluable at our company.

      Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to; select client communication, digital client account management daily needs, ensuring orders are entered accurately and shipped in a timely manner, assisting with semi-custom website creation/builds and digital mock-ups, and special projects as needed. 

      Specific Responsibilities:

      • Ability to consistently execute daily tasks and hit weekly goals.
        • Weekly goals may include but are not limited to client communication of proofs within 48 hours of receiving, communicating changes from client to warehouse within 24 hours, ensuring timely delivery of site activation emails and redemption codes, etc. 
      • Prompt communication with clientele regarding essential needs for order completion.
      • Order entry and management through Odoo (prior knowledge not required).
      • Assisting with the management of internal websites from updating new products to ensuring information is kept current and to brand standards.
      • Strong attention to detail and effective time management are crucial to this role.
      • Create digital mockups using Photoshop and Canva. Previous experience preferred but not required.
      • Send gift activation emails to recipients and respond to redemption inquiries. 

      Qualifications

      • Knowledge of Shopify, themes within Shopify, building Shopify sites, and experience working with plugins is ideal, but not required.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Very knowledgeable in Excel functions specifically. 
      • Preferably proficient in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator 
      • Preferably proficient in Canva 
      • Strong sense of work ethic
      • Able to be in the Frisco office location a minimum of 3 days per week
